The Heart of Art - an artist’s workbook meets the walls of Red Bird Gallery.
Inspired in equal measure by Bukowski’s poem “the Laughing Heart”, Helen Frankenthaler’s comment on the art process “…I think very often it takes tens of those overly labored efforts to produce one really beautiful wrist motion that is synchronised with head and heart, and you have it, and therefore it looks as if it were born in a minute.”
And from Freidrish Nietzsche - “One ought to hold on to one’s heart: for if one lets it go, one soon loses control of the dead too.”
- The artworks on display are a playful, experimental and mixed media on paper.
