Dana Rose
Dana has been drawing, painting and teaching in Nelson for over 20 years but a has close ties with Canterbury and Otago where she grew up and now visits family and friends regularly.
Dana loves to work in series, researching her subjects and constantly learning. This also applies to the various media techniques she uses - mainly acrylics but also oils, egg tempera, mono prints enhances with ink or coloured pencils. Her underlying theme is the interconnection and interdependence of all life and her main genres are Figurative and Still Life.
Dana’s work has received 8 prizes in National Art Awards and is held in New Zealand, Australian, French, American and United Kingdom collection.
